# How to setup SMTP for email via AOL mail

> To use AOL for sending emails via SMTP through PDF.co API, configure your SMTP settings as follows:

## SMTP Server Details

* **SMTP Server/Host:** `smtp.aol.com`
* **SMTP Port:** `587`

## Authentication Information

* **SMTP User Name:** Your AOL Mail screen name (i.e., the part of your AOL email address before `@aol.com`).
* **SMTP Password:** Your AOL Mail password.

Ensure that your AOL account allows third-party applications to use AOL mail through SMTP. Check or modify this setting in your AOL account security settings to prevent login issues.
